The second half of March saw gaming conversation volume jump 71% in comparison to the first two weeks, according to numbers released by Twitter. Additionally there has been a 38% increase overall in unique authors and in the U.S., there has been an 89% increase in conversation and a 50% increase in unique authors.

With the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) keeping a majority of Americans at home, gaming and esports have seen a significant increase in viewership and engagement numbers.
